Every adventure has to start somewhere.
A little over a year ago I was living and working in Glasgow whilst my partner was doing likewise only 120.67 miles away in the granite city, Aberdeen.
As we are both 20-somethings with a shared love of travelling and a shared hatred of our jobs we hatched a plan to move in together in Aberdeen and save as much money as possible for a year with the end goal being to quit our jobs and spend time travelling around some of the beautiful cities of Europe.
It’s a now a little under a month until 11th April which is the date our flight to Berlin is booked for the first leg of our two month, sixteen-city, twelve-country jaunt across Europe and we are both currently sitting in our home in Aberdeen fervently calendar-watching day by day counting down our departure date.
Our pennies are saved, our course is plotted and all that’s left is to get on with the adventure. I’ve started this blog to record our pursuits abroad so that we can look back on our time in Europe and should anyone else stumble across it there will be pictures, stories and recommendations for each place we visit.
“Traveling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.”
